Madison Chiropractor, Dr. Justin Shorts
Helping people get out of pain and restore function is a privilege and Dr. Shorts looks forward to helping as many people as possible in the Huntsville / Madison community.

Dr. Shorts is a 2010 graduate of the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelors in Human Biology. As an intern, Dr. Shorts participated in the sports medicine program where he gained valuable experience working with athletes at various sporting events in the Portland community. Dr. Shorts completed his pre-med studies at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and at Shasta College in Redding, California.
Dr. Shorts first experienced the amazing benefits of chiropractic care at the age of 19 while playing baseball for Shasta College. He injured his lower back while taking batting practice one day during the off-season. His injury soon progressed to the point where he was unable to practice at all because of the pain. This is when his assistant coach referred him to a local chiropractor. After about 2 weeks of treatment, Dr. Shorts’ back pain had completely resolved.
Dr. Shorts continued on the care plan that he was prescribed by his chiropractor and soon realized that not only was his back pain gone, but his entire body was functioning better. Running felt effortless, regular tension headaches were now a thing of the past, and the range of motion of his neck improved as well, allowing him to visualize pitches much better. It was this amazing experience that led Dr. Shorts to change his major from business to biology and later become a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Helping people get out of pain and restore function is a privilege and Dr. Shorts looks forward to helping as many people as possible in the Huntsville / Madison community. He especially enjoys working with athletes and people who are dedicated to living active and healthy lifestyles. Dr. Shorts is available to speak to your company, school, or club on health related topics such as back injury prevention, workplace ergonomics, and other musculoskeletal conditions that chiropractic care can relieve and prevent.
When not treating patients, Dr. Shorts enjoys fishing, exercising, playing and watching sports, riding his motorcycle, reading, playing with his dogs, hiking, and pretty much anything else that will get him outside.
